I got a call to do a family shoot last week.  A entire family, including the dogs.  And if you have dogs, you know, they are our kids.  Unfortunately, the puppy (ALL dogs are puppies in my eyes, no matter how old they are) is getting older and isn’t doing very well.  The family wanted to have some photos of him, as well as take him out and give him some great last days.  As hard as it is, I know they will be glad to have these.  You can tell how much little Joel is loved, and he could feel it too.

Here are a few sneak peeks from our shoot:

This year as a little bonus, I took my reps who have referred the most seniors to me out for a bonus shoot at the beach!  They have been working so hard, I thought they could use a few more photos ;).  It is so crazy that I have been working with my reps for almost a year now.  And before I know it, it will be time to start the class of 2015 JPSearcy rep search (I start in January, for those juniors who follow me!)!  But, I still have a few more months with this amazing group of girls to finish out the class of 2014!  Here are a few sneak peeks from Shauna’s beach shoot:

Sometimes, if I find a spot or location that I want to “try out” for future clients, I will put a call out to my current senior reps to see if anyone is available.  This time, I lucked out, because FOUR of them were available on short notice!  And I consider it a double lucky day, because I love the location!  We all had such a great time, and it was a gorgeous little hidden spot!  The downside of this location though, is takes a lot of effort to get out to (after a lot of driving down small dirt roads, then almost a mile hike from the car to the location thru some mucky muddy trails) AND it is only “in bloom” a few weeks out of the year.  So, I will be sure to mark the weeks on the calendar for next year, and be able to schedule other clients for the little secret hideaway location!

Here is a shot of each of the girls from that morning (more will follow this week on my facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/jpsearcy and on my instagram page: http://instagram.com/jpsearcy).  Make sure you “follow” me both places, if you aren’t already!

If you haven’t gotten senior photos taken that you LOVE (or your daughter/son didn’t get photos that you love), the good news is, it isn’t too late! The weather is FINALLY starting to cool off a little, and now that we are pretty much past our afternoon summer thunderstorm patterns, I am booking both morning AND late afternoon/early evening sessions at the location of your choice.  Don’t let this huge milestone time in your life pass with “just a yearbook photo”.  Have a quality portrait session that you have say in, and you get gorgeous photos from!  Talk to any of my reps, or contact me directly!

For my last session  (before vacation that is!), I had the pleasure of meeting and photographing Alex!  She wasn’t thrilled about needing to wake up so early during the summer (really none of my seniors are!), but she got it once we started shooting.  And was actually thankful that we started as early as we did!  It gets SO hot and humid so quickly, that I really prefer to start a session by 8am (7am if they can pull it off!).  No, I am not a morning person (at all!), I hate waking up early too!  But it is so worth it, not melting, in these hot Florida summer days!

Alex and I had some fun shooting on Park Avenue in Winter Park.  It is becoming quite a popular location this year!  She was so unbelievably sweet and adorable, just a pleasure to photograph.  And I thought, just maybe, at the end of the shoot, she would want to do some in the fountain.  NOPE!  I stuck my feet in though, and I tell you, I almost didn’t come out of the fountain!  Nice, cold water, ahhhhh!  We had a fantastic shoot, and I am excited to show her all of her photos when I get back from vacation!

In the meantime, here are a few sneak peeks to hold her over!

Sessions with JPSearcy Photography is awesome! All your sessions are a blast and she takes amazing photographs! The things she thinks of are ridiculous but once you see the pictures you know why she’s a photographer! She talked me into getting into the ocean in a long dress and at first I though she was crazy but those pictures are one of my favorites! Getting pictures by her are defiantly worth it!

We had such a fun time this past weekend.  On Sunday, we had our VIP model day.  It was a very long day, but my models were terrific and beautiful all day long.  We were transported around in style, with a limobus from ATripleCrown Limo out of Orlando.  We went from location to location to location all day.  And the girls were kept fresh by our personal make up artist, Nichole!  She was awesome, and even helped with some quick hair changes!  As a little gift, I had “bling” shirts made for each of the girls (and of course, myself!).  Those were done by the very talented Mary, of Bling it On.  And one of the highlights of the day, was our special model-only location.  The downtown Orlando Fire Station!  This isn’t available for regular sessions, for logistical reasons, but I appreciate them letting us come and have a shoot there for this special day!

I will be introducing each of them individually (with a couple of their shots from the VIP day) soon, but for now, how about a couple of group shots of my beautiful 2012 model/representatives?!

Are you ready, class of 2012?!  I am *almost* ready for you!  Stay tuned for details (or just make friends with one of my model/reps, and they can give you all the good info!).
