Time for my family (and most photographed) family!  I really look forward to these shoots.  Since I have been photographing both of the kiddos since they were born, it is so nice to catch up with them and watch them grow.  They are such great kids, with huge personalities!  We went to a location that I haven’t been to in a while, and I have to say, I was really loving it!

Here are a few sneak peeks from their shoot:

In the next several upcoming weeks, I will be photographing, and introducing you to my new JPSearcy Senior representatives!  They are each having their shoots now, so they can better tell you what photo sessions with me are like!  They can give you first hand info about being in front of the camera with me.  ALL of my reps are fantastic, and they are all open and willing to answer any questions you may have, so please do find them and talk to them!

Next up is Alexa.  She is an upcoming senior at Winter Springs High School.  And here are a few fun things I asked her to answer about herself:

What is something that makes you smile?   Traveling with my family and laughing with my friends.

Friends would describe you as ~ Always laughing, smart, and competitive.

What could you not live without ~ My sisters, peanut butter M&Ms, and edamame.

Your best day ever would be ~ A spontaneous adventure with my best friends.

Plans for after high school ~ College and then grad school to become a physical therapist.

In 10 years ~ I think I will be starting a family and enjoying my job.

Why should others book their session with JPSearcy ~ You are guaranteed to have a blast!  She makes you feel like a model!

And finally, here are some sneak peeks from our shoot!

I had a great time meeting Sarah for her senior session!  She came prepared with her mom, her friend for moral support (and laughs!), and HER camera!  I always encourage my seniors to bring something that is important to them.  This could be hobbies of theirs, sports, loves, whatever!  If it is important to you now, let’s try to put in in a couple of photos!  It will be something to look back on years from now, to bring back happy memories.

Here are a few sneak peeks from her session:

Such a fun time!  We went to downtown Sanford, which is still a new location (to me), so there is lots of walking/driving around and exploring to find good spots.  Sierra (and her sister, who was acting as her assistant 😉 ) was up to try anything (unless there were bugs or wasps around)  Haha!  Such great girls!  Thank goodness we started early enough in the morning, because boy, it is getting HOT earlier and earlier!  Welcome to Florida summers, I guess.  Typically in the beginning of the summer, I like to start sessions at 8am (so it isn’t too hot and humid out yet, and very little chance of rain).  And as the summer goes on, sessions get moved earlier and earlier.  I am not about to let the heat get in the way of us getting gorgeous senior photographs!  Sierra has a beautiful smile, but can also rock a serious face, so she has a nice mix of both in her photos.

Here are a few sneak peeks from Sierra’s session:

If YOU are a 2014 senior, and have not yet booked your fun senior photo session (not talking about the boring yearbook ones, I am talking about the fun ones that you say what you want!), I am running out of summer dates.  Summer, as hot as it is, really is a great time to get them done.  Your schedules are more flexible and we can shoot any day of the week!  We shoot early in the morning, so it isn’t too bad out!  I have a couple of dates open at the end of this month, a couple open at the end of July, and a couple for August.  Get your date on my calendar soon!

(Besides my 2014 reps) Jordan is my first official class of 2014 senior!  And what a great girl to kick of the year!  She is so sweet and easy going, just went wherever and trusted me that I would get great photos of her.  Of course I love that she was so trusting of me ;).  (I don’t mind at all when they come with ideas of what they want either!)  We spent the morning in Sanford just walking around finding great places to shoot.  I haven’t shot there often, but it really does have a lot to offer!  You have the lake, and some greenery, and then some more urban looks when we go explore the area for “texture” (walls, doors, stairways, etc).  I think it is a great location for a senior session (probably better for seniors instead of family shoots though).

Here are a few sneak peeks from Jordan’s senior session in Sanford:

If you are a 2014 senior, just know that the “yearbook” photos don’t have to be your senior photos!  Yes, you have to go there to get the “black drape” or “fake tux” shot for the yearbook, but you do not have to purchase your senior photos there!  If you are looking for something a little more personal and catered to YOU, you have a choice!  You can book whatever photographer you like to mark this important milestone for you!  And if you like my work and would like to talk to me about what YOU want out of your senior photos, email me jps@jpsearcyphotography.com.  I’d love to meet you and set something up for you!  I still have a few dates available for June, a few at the end of July, and a couple left for August.  Most people end up getting their senior photos taken the summer before school starts, so you will want to get your date on the calendar soon!  (And don’t worry about the heat of the summer.  We only shoot early in the morning, so it isn’t an issue!)
