The next senior up on the blog comes all the way from California! She was going to be in town for a volleyball tournament, so she and her mom wanted to do her senior photos down here! I absolutely love it when people come to me and make their shoot part of their trip. But what made this one even more special, was her mom is a photographer herself! Shockingly enough, photographer’s kids (no matter what age) don’t always enjoy photo shoots ;). Probably because they have had a camera in their faces since they were babies! But her mom wanted her to have a great senior photo experience, so she went looking for a Florida photographer. I was truly honored that she chose me!
We had a fantastic time on our shoot (despite a major case of jet lag). They wanted to shoot downtown Orlando, so we were there bright and early. I don’t think any of us were thinking of the time difference when we set the date for the shoot. When I met them at 8am, it was more like 5am for them. And that was just our meeting time. She had a make up artist at the hotel beforehand, so she was exhausted! You wouldn’t be able to tell from looking at her photos. She looked so beautiful! And boy, could she pull off the serious face!
Here are a few sneak peeks from our shoot:
This is a new one for me! Many seniors want to incorporate their sport into their sessions. No problem at all! But this one was a bit different. She was playing in the Arnold Palmer Pro Am tournament at Bay Hill! It is a once in a life time opportunity, so I was very honored that they wanted me to be there to document this amazing event. This is something out of my norm, so that made it even more fun! I couldn’t do any posing 😉 And while I was able to walk along side of the course, I still had to keep a little bit of a distance so my shutter clicks wouldn’t be a distraction. While I don’t know much about golf, it was so much fun to watch her play. She is really good! (In my totally unbiased opinion, she was the best one out there 😉 ).
Here are a few photos from our day:
Happy new year! I hope everyone had a very happy holiday. I have another great senior sneak peek to start our year off right! This is of Faith, one of my 2019 senior models. As you know if you have been following me, this year I changed things up from reps to models! Which basically means, I don’t have to have an application process and choose reps anymore (yay!!). Anyone who wants to be a part of my model experience is welcome! There were different levels of models, and those levels included different amounts of shoots during the school year. Everyone got their main shoot during the summer before senior year started, and then either 1 or 2 bonus shoots to happen during the school year! For Faith’s bonus shoots, she chose Disney World and then this night shoot downtown. It has been so much fun getting to know her throughout this year. She is a fantastic girl, and we have gotten so many beautiful photos of her this year! But this isn’t her final shoot. She will have one more mini shoot when her cap/gown come in before graduation. For next school year, I will be having a tweaked version of this new model program! There will be some changes next year for all of my clients and offerings (which will be worked out and announced in the next month or so, no worries!). So if you are in the class of 2020, keep me in mind, and follow me (I’m jpsearcy on all social media), so you get the details when they are released!
But for now, how about take a sneak peek at the super sweet Faith?! We went around downtown Orlando in the early evening to have a shoot with some nighttime city lights!
Another senior model experience at Disney! The perks of being a JPSearcy model include getting to go to other places outside the normal locations for a fun shoot. (All of my shoots are fun, btw ;). It is just that those participating in the model program get to shoot at many different places throughout their senior year, and some of those can be out of the box type locations. Like Magic Kingdom!). Sarah is a Disney fanatic, and was so excited for her shoot at Magic Kingdom. She had in mind that she wanted to do a shoot with her favorite Disney treats! Hey, whatever she wants, she will get! We had a great morning exploring (and eating) our way through the park.
I will be taking sign ups for the class of 2020 seniors very soon! So, if having multiple senior shoots throughout your senior year, sounds like something you would like to do, please follow me on social media (I’m jpsearcy everywhere), so you can be kept in the loop when I am putting together my next class of seniors for the “Model Experience”!
Now, if you are class of 2019, there is still time for the regular senior session! Just contact me to get on my calendar! Or if you are class of 2020, but only are going to want one shoot, that is perfectly fine too! I will be taking regular clients starting in May. Follow me and stay tuned!!
Back to Sarah, here are a couple of sneak peeks from our Disney shoot:
Next senior up on the blog, is beautiful Sarah! We had such a fun time on our deluxe (two location) shoot. She bought her big sister along with her to act as her assistant (who is also a former senior of mine 😉 ). The three of us started her session at Dickson Azalea, and then finished it up doing something totally different. “Glam golf”. She is a very talented golfer, and we will be doing another sports session for her later in the school year. But those will be all action shots. This was to get some pretty and fun golf photos for her! At the golf course, they were so sweet to us. After seeing Sarah in a full length gown, they offered us some golf carts to make things a little easier. Definitely made it easier than walking a couple of holes in heels!
Now that the school year has officially started everywhere, if you haven’t booked YOUR senior photo session yet, what are you waiting for?! Have an idea of what you want for your session? Let me know, and I’m happy to make that happen for you. Your senior photos should be all about YOU and what you want!
Now back to Sarah! Here are some sneak peeks from our session:
Next senior up on the blog is the gorgeous Francesca! We had such a great time on our shoot at Rollins and Dickson Azalea. Those two locations give a nice variety of backgrounds for us to work with. She was such a natural in front of the camera, makes my job easy! She seemed to have both the smiles AND serious faces nailed (which isn’t easy to do, especially in summer heat!).
Here are some sneak peeks from our shoot:
Next senior up on the blog is the beautiful Haley! She brought mom and a good friend along with her to play the role of assistant/guest snap chatter for the day ;). She is such a sweet girl who had really been looking forward to her shoot! We had so much fun! The two locations that she chose were Park Ave and Dickson Azalea. Two great locations. Haley learned quickly that it is tough work being a gorgeous model! The getting up before dawn/squatting/posing/outfit changing/smiling even though you are getting hot, can really be tough! She was a trooper though, and looked beautiful the whole way thru the shoot. I can’t wait for her to see all of the photos, but for now, just a little sneak peek!
Here are a few shots from our shoot:
The next senior up on the blog, is the gorgeous Sarah! We had such a great time on her shoot with her friend and her mom. She was not only stunning with all of that red hair, but she was super sweet and a lot of fun to photograph! The two locations she chose were Park Ave and Dickson Azalea. First up was Park Ave and then onto Dickson, but then we had to go back to do the famous fountain photos! Once you get wet, there is no going back, so we save those for the very end of the shoot. I am not sure if they are keeping the fountain though, and that makes me a little sad. There is construction all around it now, and they have taken some of the areas around the fountain down. It has been so many fun years photographing seniors at that fountain, so I hope they keep it where it is!
Here are a few sneak peeks from our shoot:
The next senior up for the class of 2019 is Megan! She is so sweet, and beautiful, and we had such a great time. Megan wanted to pick a location that I don’t go to very often. She wanted to go downtown Orlando for her shoot! Happy to do it! I’ve got some favorite little spots to go when photographing downtown (all safe spots to go!). We started bright and early, so we wouldn’t get too hot (I always like to start early in the summer). And she brought her mom along to be her assistant ;). Personally, I love it when the moms come with. It is just as fun for mom to be there and watch, as it is for the senior actually having her shoot! (As long as they get along and don’t make each other crazy!). If mom isn’t able to come, I encourage my seniors to bring a sister or a friend with them. Makes them more relaxed and more comfortable in front of the camera.
Here are a few sneak peeks from Megan’s downtown session:
Thought I was done with the class of 2018, but I am happy to say, I have just one more senior! She was such a delightful one to end the school year with! She is so beautiful and so sweet, not to mention, photogenic! Delaney and her mom chose two great locations – Rollins and Dickson Azalea. And thankfully, with all of the rain we have had in the past couple of weeks, we totally lucked out and had a very nice morning to shoot.
Here are a couple of sneak peeks from each of her locations:
