The next sneak peek on the blog is a little different – an ENGAGEMENT session!! ¬†(Yes, on occasion, I photograph something other than seniors ūüėČ ). It was so much fun, and they are such a gorgeous couple (I mean, come on, how stunning are they both?!)! ¬†I have been photographing this bride-to-be for many years now. ¬†Starting with family photos with her and her siblings, and then her senior photos, and now the next step – engagement photos! ¬†I think it is amazing to be able to follow a family thru milestones like this.

I had a great time meeting this family.  I already had met half of them, because the oldest son had his senior photos taken a few months ago!  I love when families realize the importance of getting family photos, especially after the kids are little.  Why is it that we stop getting family photos when the kids get older?  There is never a perfect time to do a family session, but before college sounds pretty close to the perfect time to me!

Happy New Year!  I am so excited to be starting another year, meeting and photographing new people!  And even better, photographing families AGAIN!  I love seeing families come back to me, wether it be annually, or after several years.  The first posting of 2018 is a family that I met a couple of years ago, when the youngest daughter was one of my seniors.  I adore her, and we have kept in touch!  Well, her siblings were all going to be in town for the holidays, so they decided they would like to do another family session!  Loved seeing them again!

Here are a couple of sneak peeks from our family shoot (and one with the daughter and her boyfriend ūüėČ ) –

Next family up on the blog was so much fun to photograph! ¬†Mom had been planning this session for months¬†and¬†Dad was just so happy to be surrounded by his beautiful girls. ¬†I really love photographing families with older kids. ¬†(Of course I love the little ones too ūüėČ ) But when I have the opportunity to photograph families with older kids, often times, they haven’t done this in many years. ¬†And I promise, it is SO much easier when they are older ;).

Next family up on the blog, is one of my senior rep’s family! ¬†She was so excited to have photos done with her family. ¬†I love photographing senior’s families! ¬†I feel that I get to know the seniors pretty well, it is fun to get the rest of the fam in front of my lens. ¬†They selected Kraft Azalea, which is a pretty popular family shoot location. ¬†It has great light and lots of trees.

Next family session up on the blog, is a super fun family. ¬†I just photographed the oldest for her senior photos. ¬†I love when I have the opportunity to photograph seniors’ entire family! ¬†This family decided they wanted beach photos. ¬†No problem! ¬†Sunrise is early, but so worth it! ¬†We had a beautiful morning to shoot this beautiful family.

I was so happy to finally get the opportunity to photograph this sweet family.  We have been rescheduling for months! But the wait was worth it.  We had a beautiful morning in Winter Park.  And the family was as sweet as could be.

I was so excited to photograph this sweet family. ¬†I met mom and oldest daughter for her senior photos earlier in the summer. ¬†And they were so great to work with! ¬†So, naturally, I couldn’t wait to meet the rest of the family to get some beautiful family photos for them. ¬†We shot at the same place as we did her senior photos (Rollins). ¬†It is a great location for pretty much any age group! ¬†Must be why it is one of my most requested locations.

I was so excited to shoot this family! ¬†The daughter was one of my first seniors eight or so years ago. ¬†And I was so touched when she reached out to me a while ago saying that she and her brother wanted to do something special for their mom. ¬†The grown up kids wanted to give mom a family photo session as a gift. ¬†Such a thoughtful and sweet gift! ¬†I did tell her, it is best if you tell her about the shoot ahead of time (speaking from a mom’s perspective here), not just have her show up and “SURPRISE! Photo time!” ¬†We (moms) absolutely will want the shoot, especially if the kids were the ones who planned it. ¬†But we also want to make sure that we are photo ready, and it is done at a good time for us, so we feel and look our best. ¬†So, that is exactly what the did. ¬†The kids gifted her the session to be held whenever she wanted it. ¬†And let me tell you, if you haven’t had family photos since your kids were little, it is SO MUCH easier now that they are older! ¬†No need to bribe the little ones to sit still, no need to force them to dress nice, just make it a day or afternoon together, photos and then breakfast! ¬†So if you have been putting it off for a while, now is as good of a time as any!

I love this family. ¬†I have been working with them for a few years now. ¬†Starting with senior photos, and then another round of senior photos (as a rep this time), and now finally family photos! ¬†And now that I have had the pleasure of meeting Grandma too, I can see where all of these ladies get their beauty¬†from (and maybe even a little of their sass). ¬†Dad definitely has his hands full with this group! ūüėČ
