It’s time! Time for the next senior class! And the very first senior up on the blog is MY senior. Yep, my “baby” is a senior ((sniff, sniff)). I asked him what he wanted for his senior photo session, and he wanted to go downtown at night. So he will get two shoots (perks of being a photographer’s kid 😉 ), and the second one will be next week during the day. I didn’t want to press my luck and try two locations with him in one day. I love photographing my boys (and I love it when they humor me and let me).
I am SO excited for the next senior class! I’m excited because I already have several booked for this summer! I still have some availability and one more day of the sale, so make sure to message me/email me/call me to get YOUR session on the calendar!
Here are some sneak peeks from our evening downtown:
Happy new year! I hope everyone had a very happy holiday. I have another great senior sneak peek to start our year off right! This is of Faith, one of my 2019 senior models. As you know if you have been following me, this year I changed things up from reps to models! Which basically means, I don’t have to have an application process and choose reps anymore (yay!!). Anyone who wants to be a part of my model experience is welcome! There were different levels of models, and those levels included different amounts of shoots during the school year. Everyone got their main shoot during the summer before senior year started, and then either 1 or 2 bonus shoots to happen during the school year! For Faith’s bonus shoots, she chose Disney World and then this night shoot downtown. It has been so much fun getting to know her throughout this year. She is a fantastic girl, and we have gotten so many beautiful photos of her this year! But this isn’t her final shoot. She will have one more mini shoot when her cap/gown come in before graduation. For next school year, I will be having a tweaked version of this new model program! There will be some changes next year for all of my clients and offerings (which will be worked out and announced in the next month or so, no worries!). So if you are in the class of 2020, keep me in mind, and follow me (I’m jpsearcy on all social media), so you get the details when they are released!
But for now, how about take a sneak peek at the super sweet Faith?! We went around downtown Orlando in the early evening to have a shoot with some nighttime city lights!
Next year’s reps have started their shoots! And I’m so excited! Excited to be finally getting them in front of my camera, and excited to share them with you.
Next rep up is Taylor from Lake Howell High School! The two locations that she chose for her shoot was Church Street (downtown Orlando) and Leu Gardens. These are great locations that aren’t chosen all that often. And they give two totally different looks to her photos! Downtown and then flowery gardens! Taylor is such a great girl, we had a great time on our shoot. From ducking into stairways and corners downtown to being in gazebos and flowers in the gardens, we had lots of fun!
Here are a few sneak peeks from both locations:
I had such a great time meeting Alisa and her mom for her deluxe senior shoot. She is such a sweet girl, and was a pleasure to photograph. Deluxe sessions are two locations. And what Alisa chose for her locations were as different as day and night (literally!). We did our first half at downtown Orlando for a night shoot, and then a few hours later, we were out at the beach for sunrise! This was a great idea, because she will have such a diverse look in her photos.
Here are a couple of sneak peeks from each of the locations:
Thought I was done with 2016 seniors? Not quite! I still have a few more on the calendar! First one up is the very lovely Savannah. I’ve known her forever, so I was really looking forward to her shoot. (Even though I can’t believe she is a senior!) She wanted to shoot downtown Orlando in the evening. Thankfully we had perfect weather. Not too hot, not too cold, and most importantly, no rain!
Here are a few sneak peeks from our shoot:
Natalie and I had a very eventful session downtown this weekend! I have been photographing on Church street for years now, and there has never been any issue. Apparently now, they don’t really want people doing photo sessions there! How do we know that? Well, we were stopped halfway thru our session! I was pretty ticked (especially since I have NEVER been told I can’t shoot there, even when I am speaking with Orlando Police officers downtown! One would think that the police would let me know I was in a forbidden area, if it truly was). But Natalie was fantastic and didn’t let this bother her. Then we had moved over to another area, and we were shoo-ed away from there as well. Natalie, still being awesome, we just found another spot to finish up her session. Her photos are looking gorgeous, despite the outside complications we had, and I am so excited to show her, her sneak peeks!
BTW, until further notice, I will not be booking downtown sessions. I need to find out if there is any truth to the “no shooting” area on Church Street!
Back to Natalie, here are a few from her shoot!
Now that the holidays are behind us, the 2013 rep search is completed, it is time to get back to what I love the best . . . SENIOR PHOTO SESSIONS!!! Most seniors do get their photos done during the summer before their senior year, but there are some who prefer to wait until the second half of their senior year to have them done. And I am fine with that! The weather is definitely cooler, that is for sure! I do want to caution you though, if you ARE waiting, you will want to get on my calendar soon. The second half of your senior year FLIES by, and before you know it graduation will be here! Plus it takes time to get your photos back (from time of session until you have the photos in your hands is over a month, so you don’t want to wait until right before graduation). I have availability this month and next, but I’m sure they will fill up soon, so message me or email me and we can talk about YOUR session!
Anyway, back to THIS session! I had the pleasure of meeting and photographing Victoria this past weekend. She wanted to have her session downtown, and it was a beautiful day for it! OK, truth be told, it was a bit cold out! But that didn’t seem to bother her too much. We were having so much fun that we forgot the cold! She is a great girl, and there are so many fabulous photos from her session, it was hard choosing which ones should be her sneak peeks!
These girls will look familiar if you follow my blog at all. They are 3 of my 2012 senior reps (the other reps will come out and “play” another day)! I missed the girls, and it had been a while since I have photographed them, so I asked them if they would be willing and able to do a shoot. But they have plenty of senior photos already, so I asked if they would let me just take them downtown and “play around” one night. So, these are different from my normal work, and a little more model-y/edgy/whatever-you-want-to-call-it! We had so much fun! We started off on Church Street, and then made our way down some of the streets (which, as you can imagine, they draw attention from people passing by!), then found a rooftop garage (that we very shortly got kicked out of), and ended up in front of Amway. Definitely different shooting at night! But it was a fun change of pace!
Here are a couple of each girl from our night out downtown!

If YOU are a 2012 senior (or a parent of one!), it is not too late to get your senior photos done! I am NOT your yearbook photographer, but I AM the photographer that will get your gorgeous photos that you will have a blast taking, and will love hanging around your house! Talk to any of my reps (or me, of course) about my senior sessions, and to get YOURS scheduled! Also, look up my page on facebook and “like” it, so you can see your friends’ photos that have come to me ~ http://www.facebook.com/jpsearcy
This was a great session! We had so much fun at Rollins College and then downtown Orlando. Christine was adorable. Great personality and so happy to be having her photos done! Quite a few of her friends are clients of mine, so she knew exactly what she was looking for. “Oh remember the pose that so-and-so did?” Or “where was so-and-so for this location, because I really loved that shot”. And my favorite, “can I lay upside down on some stairs too?!” Of course I am happy to do whatever they want to do! (And you know how much I love upside down photos 😉 ). That being said, we managed to get some poses and spots that were just her as well to make her session HERS!
Here are a couple sneak peeks from each of the locations we went to:
Now that the weather is finally starting to cool off a little *fingers crossed it will stay like this*, it is a fantastic time for YOUR session! I do shoots on weekends or after school, so we can work with whatever fits into your schedule! Just hit me up on facebook (JPSearcy Photography or Jeannette Priest Searcy), or email me at firstname.lastname@example.org to talk about what YOU want for your senior photos!
What a sweet girl this senior was. I enjoyed hanging out with her for our shoot. We had a nice and early start for her deluxe session. I always feel bad having these kids wake up so early on their day off, but thank them for trusting me. When we don’t start at the crack of dawn, we melt (and get frizzy hair, and who wants that?!). So, we start early, and end early, and go home and take a nap. Everybody wins! We started off at Park Ave, and then hopped in the car and headed off to Church Street. Beautiful morning for both locations!
