Next senior up on the blog, is the beautiful Jordan (and her almost-as-beautiful horse, Steele).  Jordan booked a deluxe (2 location) session.  Usually those are done on the same day, but I made an exception due to one day being out with the horse.  Kinda thought after the horse photos, she may need to shower before heading to Park Ave ;).  The second morning was in Winter Park, and we had just as much fun as we did on the first day!  Jordan is such a sweetheart, and it was so much fun photographing her!

Here are a couple of sneak peeks from each location:

I got a call to do a family shoot last week.  A entire family, including the dogs.  And if you have dogs, you know, they are our kids.  Unfortunately, the puppy (ALL dogs are puppies in my eyes, no matter how old they are) is getting older and isn’t doing very well.  The family wanted to have some photos of him, as well as take him out and give him some great last days.  As hard as it is, I know they will be glad to have these.  You can tell how much little Joel is loved, and he could feel it too.

There aren’t too many people that I will make a special trip down to photograph.  Don’t get me wrong, I will arrange to travel for shoots, but usually I have to line up a few to make the trip.  (I hate driving!)  But for family, I am happy to do it!

It has been a while since I had a little newborn to photograph!  They are so sweet and soft and squishy, what’s not to love?!  With such a beautiful momma (seriously, who looks that good after having a baby less than 2 weeks ago?!), of course her little girl will be gorgeous!  After working REALLY hard to get her to sleep, we played with different blankets and hair bows and hats.  The longest part of newborn sessions is always the getting them settled and sleepy.  After that, it moves really quickly!  The entire time, the “big sister” in this family was patiently waiting for her turn to be photographed.  Nudging me often, reminding me that she was still there waiting.  And then finally!  It was her turn!  She leaped into her place, and looked right at me.  She was hilarious!  (See the sneak peeks below to see the baby’s beautiful big sister).  Mom, Dad, Baby, and Sister all together, what a beautiful family.

I have had such an amazing time with the class of 2014!  And sadly, I think I am coming to an end with them.  There may be another one or two to squeeze one in before graduation, but for now, Brooke is my last one on the calendar!  And what a great one to end up the season with!  Her mom and I had actually been talking about her session for almost a year, but things kept coming up and session kept getting pushed back.  But better late than never!  We had a great time at Rollins for her shoot.  And not only was she a sweetheart and gorgeous, but she brought an extra special “prop” with her for a couple of shots.  Her puppies!  YES, she brought her puppies (OK, so they aren’t puppies, but to me, no matter how old or young dogs are, they are always puppies in my eyes!).  I have no problem when a senior wants to bring along their puppies (or whatever pet) for their shoot.  My only “rule” is, that someone has to be there to take care of them during the other shots.  No leaving animals in cars!

Anyway, I know she is super anxious to see her sneak peeks, so here you go!

*IF you are 2014 and are still wanting me to shoot your senior photos, we are down to only a couple of days available on the calendar.  Please let me know ASAP, so we can try to squeeze you in!*

I love this time of year!  Not just because Christmas is right around the corner, but because this is the time of year that I see some of my favorite families again!  Some families want an updated family photo every single year, and I think that is fantastic!  This is one of those families.  This will be my third year in a row with them, and it is so neat to see the girls growing up!  This year, I got to meet two more members of the family – their pups!  Now, as you know, I am a dog lover.  They aren’t always the easiest to photograph (I think they are more difficult than toddlers, to be honest!), but as long as we have a back up plan in case they are camera shy that day, I am absolutely fine with photographing them.  Wether it be for family photos OR senior photos!  We love our pets, and they are a part of the family too!

This post and the one before are going to look a little like duplicates.  But that is only because I had the pleasure of photographing identical twins from Oviedo!  They were both great and so sweet!  And because I am sure they are used to having everything lumped together, I wanted to give them their OWN blog entries and sneak peeks.

We started our day at sunrise at Cocoa Beach.  It was a great morning.  A little bit of sunrise, and then overcast for the rest of the session.  Can’t ask for more than that!  And as a bonus, the waves were kicking that morning!  Anyone who has had a beach session with me before knows, I love to wait for waves to come before I snap the picture.  Most of the time, they are just small waves, but this morning, I had some nice great waves to work with!  Then the second part of their session was at their house with their horses.  So much fun (when the horses would cooperate and be models 😉 ).

This session was different, and a lot of fun.  I even learned something!  This senior loves her horse and riding, so it was a natural choice to meet for her session at the stables.  We did her “normal” shots first around the beautiful grounds.  Then we brought her horse out to join in the fun.  Now, something I learned, was to make for a good horse photo, the horse’s ears must be straight up and facing you (otherwise they look mad).  I never really realized that horses moved their ears around so much, until I tried to photograph one!  Boy, that horse was quick, and her ears moved around so much!  It was almost like she was taunting me.  Hahahaha!  But I DID get some with her ears up, and Kaily looking beautiful, so I consider it a very successful shoot!

Here are a few from her shoot that I really liked (check out the last one of her and the horse.  Not only are the ears up, it looks like the horse is laughing!  To me it does anyway!):

I recently photographed the  most delightful family.  They are not going to be living in Florida much longer, and they wanted to get some “Florida photographs” before they left.  I asked what that meant to them, and it was green trees, spanish moss, and sunshine.  No problem!  We shot in a little area by their house that had all of the above!

A little funny from their session, this family is from Europe, and while they all could speak perfect English, their dog couldn’t!  They had me laughing because they were all speaking Hungarian, and would talk to the dog, and then when I went to call the dog so she would look at me, they all started laughing at me and told me that she doesn’t speak English.   Hopefully they weren’t just making fun of me in Hungarian, because I was laughing along with whatever they were saying! Hahaha!

I was SO excited when this booking came in.  I have been wanting to shoot on a farm, but just haven’t found one that I could shoot at!  I don’t know if it is just because it is something different, or all the cool textures that are on a farm, but it was so much fun!  Having an adorable and sweet senior to shoot wasn’t so bad either! LOL!

She wanted a couple photos with her horse, and a couple with her dog, and of course, some alone.  But since I don’t get a horse at many sessions (OK, NEVER!), I really had to take advantage and take a few extra.  Her horse made me really laugh.  As she was sitting on the horse’s stall, her mom thought that carrots would help the horse look in the direction of the camera.  Well, as soon as he saw the carrots, I swear, he smiled!  He lifted his lip up and was showing his teeth! LOL!  And because I found it so funny, of course, that has to be one of her sneaks!

Hope you enjoy your sneaks!  I will let you know when the rest are ready!
