Next up on the blog is the beautiful Mackenzie! This shoot was a long time coming. The first time her mom contacted me for a shoot was almost a year ago! But we had to wait until the timing was right, and it finally was. We had such a great time, and a gorgeous, cool morning to shoot on Park Ave. Even though it was pretty cool out, she still was a trooper and wanted to get in the fountain at the end!
Here are a few sneak peeks from her session:
I was so excited to photograph this sweet family. I met mom and oldest daughter for her senior photos earlier in the summer. And they were so great to work with! So, naturally, I couldn’t wait to meet the rest of the family to get some beautiful family photos for them. We shot at the same place as we did her senior photos (Rollins). It is a great location for pretty much any age group! Must be why it is one of my most requested locations.

Coming close to the end of the class of 2016 senior photos! Next up on the blog, is super sweet Cassandra. We had our shoot at Leu Gardens. And, surprisingly enough, it wasn’t blazing hot out! Leu Gardens is a beautiful location, but every time I go there, it is so hot! Cassandra and her mom and I got lucky, because we had a nice overcast and mild morning to shoot.

I was so excited to shoot this family! The daughter was one of my first seniors eight or so years ago. And I was so touched when she reached out to me a while ago saying that she and her brother wanted to do something special for their mom. The grown up kids wanted to give mom a family photo session as a gift. Such a thoughtful and sweet gift! I did tell her, it is best if you tell her about the shoot ahead of time (speaking from a mom’s perspective here), not just have her show up and “SURPRISE! Photo time!” We (moms) absolutely will want the shoot, especially if the kids were the ones who planned it. But we also want to make sure that we are photo ready, and it is done at a good time for us, so we feel and look our best. So, that is exactly what the did. The kids gifted her the session to be held whenever she wanted it. And let me tell you, if you haven’t had family photos since your kids were little, it is SO MUCH easier now that they are older! No need to bribe the little ones to sit still, no need to force them to dress nice, just make it a day or afternoon together, photos and then breakfast! So if you have been putting it off for a while, now is as good of a time as any!

I know I have “introduced” my new team to you already. But now, I wanted to share their first “real” shoot! The first real shoot we do is a group shoot. It is always done at Kraft Azalea every year. It gives me an opportunity to spend more time with them, get to know them a little better, and of course, get some photos of the team together! This year, there was a little problem. It was supposed to be major storms on our shoot date! It isn’t a problem to reschedule one senior in case of rain. But 11? Way too hard! But, I came up with a back up plan that was a little (ok, a lot) different. UCF was on spring break, and it is close by, so we took our shoot to a parking garage on campus. It turned out perfectly! We could shoot outside with some cool storm clouds, and then inside when the rain came.
After spending some more time with my new reps, I am even more excited to work with them this year! They will have their individual shoots coming up in the next month or two. So make sure to check back in to see more photos of them! And for my future clients, please feel free to talk to any of the reps about what shoots are like, and how you can schedule your own fun senior photo shoot!

Not done with the class of 2016 yet! Next senior up on the blog is Madison. Madison, her mom, and I had a great time at our shoot at Maitland Art Center. It is such a great location, that I don’t get to shoot at all that often. At the end of our shoot, she wanted to do some fire shots for volleyball. And you know, I’m always up for some fire photos! And she definitely had her “game face” (fierce!) perfected for her sports photos! Here are a few sneak peeks from our shoot:
I had such a great time meeting Alisa and her mom for her deluxe senior shoot. She is such a sweet girl, and was a pleasure to photograph. Deluxe sessions are two locations. And what Alisa chose for her locations were as different as day and night (literally!). We did our first half at downtown Orlando for a night shoot, and then a few hours later, we were out at the beach for sunrise! This was a great idea, because she will have such a diverse look in her photos.
Here are a couple of sneak peeks from each of the locations:
