It was a very hard process this year. Selecting new reps is always difficult. On one hand, I am extremely flattered that so many fantastic kids want to rep for me. On the other hand, I hate having to choose! Because the applications I get, I swear, are getting better and better every year. It breaks my heart that I can’t have everyone be a rep. But if everyone were a rep, then who would they refer?! So, from the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU for wanting to be a part of my rep team. And I sincerely hope that I do get the opportunity to meet and photograph every single person who reached out to me. We can have a great shoot together (and you don’t have to work for me all year 😉 ).
Now that is out of the way, I have an amazing group of juniors who are going to rep for me next year! And a little added bonus ~ I have a guy rep this year! It isn’t too often that guys will actually submit an application (when their moms didn’t make them do it!). So, I am super excited to have him as a part of the team this year. Being that I have been getting more senior guy clients in the past year or two, I think having a guy on the rep team will really help bring in more guys. I am also excited that I have a rep from Lake Howell this year. Most of my seniors come from Hagerty, Oviedo, and Winter Springs. No idea why I don’t get more Lake Howell seniors (come on, we are all neighbors!), so hopefully having a rep there will help spread the word to that school. And of course, I have some great reps from my main schools of Hagerty, Oviedo, and Winter Springs. I have multiple reps from these schools, so I can cover all the different areas and groups!
Ok, I know you aren’t reading anymore, just scrolling to see the photos, so here they are! My class of 2017 JPSearcy Senior Reps!
It is time again for my favorite family! Not only are they friends of mine, but they appreciate how important photos are. They come to me every 6 months, to make sure they have their children’s childhood documented! The kids are so used to their sessions, it isn’t a chore. We have fun, they act silly, and they will have beautiful photographs all thru their young years. Another thing I love, the parents love to have something in the photos that is totally “them” for that period of time. Could be a major toothless grin or could be their favorite sport at the time. For this shoot, it is the boy’s orange Crocs. Apparently, those are his “thing” right now. A little too small for him now, but he still loves them and squeezes his feet into them. So, instead of making him wear shoes to match his outfit, they want those orange plastic shoes to be a part of it. That is what he loves right now, so why not have it a part of his photos? Years from now, he will look back on those photos, and hopefully laugh at the memory of his orange Crocs.
It is that time of year again! My search for the next class of JPSearcy Senior reps!
I have more details on an earlier blog entry (from a few days ago). You should read it in its entirety if you haven’t already. But the shortened version is, I search for a couple of girls from each of the local schools to represent me and my business during their senior year. (I say girls, because the major perks of being a rep is all of the photo shoots you go on. And guys, while they do have a good time on a shoot with me, don’t always want to do multiple shoots. AND talk about their photos with others (the main job of a rep). However, if the right guy wanted to be a rep, I’d totally be open to it.). What I look for in a rep – good kid (because they ARE representing me, after all!), very social and outgoing, friendly and approachable, involved in their school, involved in extra curricular activities, responsible and driven, and someone comfortable in front of the camera. I am NOT looking for a model or model-types (I’ll make them look and feel like a model on their shoots with me, but looks alone are not what is going to get the rep spot!). My reps will show off their beautiful photos to their friends and classmates and talk to them about their experience with me. And in turn, they can earn credits to be used towards their own senior photos (and they can earn extra photo shoots too!). Reps DO pay a session fee, just like everyone else. They just have the opportunity to turn their session fee into credits towards their own senior photo order.
So exciting! Here is the official application for the class of 2017 JPSearcy Senior reps:
PLEASE before submitting your application, make sure your parents know about it, and are ok with you applying. I will have to contact each of them anyway, and I don’t want to surprise them ;). I am looking for reps for Hagerty, Oviedo, Winter Springs, Lake Howell, Lake Brantley, Winter Park and any other school in the nearby area (public or private schools are fine, even if I don’t have a rep there this year!).
After submitting your application, please go to your social media sites and add me, favorite me, like me, whatever! I am jpsearcy on twitter, instagram, and snapchat, and Jeannette Priest Searcy on facebook (and jpsearcy on the business page of facebook). It is easier for you to find me and add me, than it is for me to find you!
I leave the applications up for as long as they need to be for me to get lots of possible reps, and then when I think I have enough fantastic people to choose from, I close it for that school. (It is a very overwhelming job as is!) Some schools fill up QUICKLY (I’m talking within hours!) Others take a little longer, maybe a few days. Once I have closed the applications for your school, that is it, no more accepted! So, bottom line, if you know you want to do this, and you know that you would be a fantastic rep for me, apply NOW!!
All of the info about the JPSearcy rep program is listed in the blog entry before this one, so if you haven’t read it yet, please do!
Any questions for me, I can be reached by email – email@example.com or by text 407-977-6296 (or any other social media 😉 ). Good luck!!
It is that time of year again! Time to start working on the graduation announcements. If you had a shoot with me this year, you probably saw the graduation announcements that I offer. I told you that I don’t take orders for them until after January, remember? Well, it’s January! Don’t worry, this design appointment won’t take nearly as long as your first viewing/ordering appointment. You have already seen your photos, you know which are your favs, so this next part is pretty quick and painless. In the past, they have taken about 15 minutes. If you are interested in making an announcement appointment, send me a quick email letting me know when is best for you to come by.
If you have NOT had a shoot with me yet, it isn’t too late! We still have time to have a great session, get beautiful portraits, and get your custom graduation announcements back. All before graduation! While it isn’t too late now, it will be too late soon. So you don’t want to wait too much longer to get on my calendar. This last semester flies by, and towards the end of the semester, you and your family will be busy with graduation plans and parties. Trust me! If you would like to talk to me about a shoot, please email me ~ firstname.lastname@example.org or call/text me 407-977-6296.
