I had the pleasure of photographing Emily at Leu Gardens for her senior photos. She is such a beautiful girl, who wanted to make sure that we shot in a place that had plenty of flowers and greenery. Well, we weren’t going to find a place that had more flowers than Leu Gardens! I love shooting there, especially in the fall and winter (when it isn’t quite this hot), because it is just a large and quiet location. This time of year though, it is hot! Very pretty, but very hot. I warned Emily, just so she would be prepared for it. And she was a trooper. Looked gorgeous from start to finish, and was just happy to be there!
Here are a few sneak peeks from Emily’s session:
A little known product that I offer is business headshots. This can be for a single person who wants to update their headshot, like someone who is self-employeed, OR I can do the entire office! How it works, is (if it is for one person) you come by for the quick session. More often, I go to your office, set up the backdrop and then each person comes in and has them taken. Kind of like school picture day (but I’m more personable 😉 ). Usually, each person only takes a few minutes, so it isn’t too much time out of their work day. And then what you get afterwards, is the digital file and release to use them for your own professional use. That could be in ads, on business cards, or on your website. I make it as painless as possible! If you are interested in updating your headshots, or your department’s , or for your entire office, let me know. I’d love to hear about what you want and need!
My most recent headshot session was with the best hairdresser in the area, Kim Kubo (with Xander Blue Salon). I use her myself, so I can speak on how amazing she is! Highly recommend.
I had the pleasure of meeting and photographing Shannon at Rollins! She is such a sweet and beautiful (and super tall!) girl. And let me tell you something that I just loved about her – even though she is tall, she still brought high heels and wedges for all of her outfits! LOVE that! Heels are so amazing in photographs, because it makes your legs look a mile long. But many times, the tall girls feel that they don’t need them. Sure, you don’t NEED them, but if you can bring at least one pair, DO IT! I promise, I won’t make you walk around in them, just put them on for the photo, and then you can walk in your sandals to the next photo spot. And there will be plenty of shots where your feet aren’t even in them ;). Thankfully, Shannon had absolutely no problem with this, and her photos are turning out beautifully!

Loving that I am booking more guys this year! Connor brought his mom and his friend (one of my reps!) with him to his shoot. He was so great! I love that he brought a friend with him and I love that he brought lots of different clothes with him! The friend helps by making the senior feel at ease, and the lots of different clothes allow for so much variety in your photos! Connor was so great on his shoot, and seemed to be having a lot of fun too. The session time flew by, and I have so many great photos of him, that I can’t wait to show him!
But for now, just sneak peeks! Here are a few sneaks from Connor’s shoot:
Kirsten and I had such a fun day! She had booked a deluxe shoot (2 locations), so we had lots and lots of time together. We started out really early at the beach for sunrise, and then finished up later in the afternoon at Maitland Art Center. She was able to get two totally different looks (first half with straight hair and the second half with curly, to name just one way to get two looks!). Kirsten is a really sweet and beautiful girl, and I loved shooting her!

A little thank you going out to one of my reps, Amanda, for coming along to assist on this shoot! Her friend Sydney booked a shoot with me, but was a little bit nervous. No reason to be nervous, we have a great time on shoots! But, she felt more comfortable having Amanda with her. Absolutely no problem! Whatever will make you more relaxed and comfortable is completely fine by me! This is YOUR session, and I want it to be fun and memorable for everyone! Sydney saw pretty quickly, that this isn’t yearbook photos, and I am pretty laid back. She was all smiles for the entire shoot! She is super sweet, and I enjoyed the shoot with her.

What a fun morning on Park Ave with Morgan! I photographed her good friend at the beginning of the summer, and she loved those photos so much, she booked a shoot for herself! Love that!! The day of her shoot, her friend and mom came with her to act as her personal assistants. They were dressing her, accessorizing her, checking her hair, and even getting into the fountain to give her a boost at the end of the shoot! I think all 4 of us enjoyed the shoot ;).

Beach shoot! Now, this morning that Grace and I met out at the beach, we didn’t have the traditional “sunrise” photos. There were dark clouds off shore. Now, this does NOT mean it is going to be a bad morning for a shoot! It means that while we won’t get the sunrise, we will get more time with nice soft light. Not to mention, it looks so cool and different to shoot dark sunrise on the beach! Grace was so fantastic and sweet, and it didn’t matter to her that we didn’t get the sunrise. As long as she would still get great senior photos, she was fine! And we did! So, if you book a beach shoot, and we get out there and find that it won’t be sunrise, don’t be too upset. I promise we will have a GREAT shoot!
Here are a few from Grace’s non-sunrise shoot:
Another beautiful (but hot), morning shoot at Rollins College! This morning shoot was with a very sweet girl, McKayla. McKayla, her mom, and I all had a great time at Rollins, and got some beautiful photos! I really love all of the fantastic seniors I have met so far this summer. They have all be so sweet and funny and gorgeous! I have to say, I have pretty much, the coolest job on the planet.

I had so much fun with Kristen at her shoot! Not only is she gorgeous and sweet, she also brought her puppy with her! I love puppies! (And, btw, ALL dogs to me, no matter their age, are puppies!). As long as there is someone there to take care of the puppy (or any other animal), I would love for you to bring them along for a few photos. And when we were not posing with her puppy, we got lots and lots of beautiful shots.
