I had such a great time at Derek’s photo session! Lots of reasons, first, of course, because he is a great guy ;). He is the younger brother of a past senior of mine, and I just love it when the family was so happy with me, they want to continue using me for their other kids too! Next reason, it was in a beautiful location that I have never been to! I have absolutely no problem going to new locations, so if there is a place that is important to you or special to you, why not have your senior photos taken there?! And the last reason, he had so many props for us to use! He brought his pup, his truck, his 4 wheeler, his boat, his fishing gear, and the most beautiful “prop” of all, his girlfriend ;). When you bring things that are important to you, it really makes your session very personal! You will want to remember all of these things that you loved in high school, so why not bring them for some shots too?!
Here are a few sneak peeks from Derek’s session:
I am so happy to be able to put up these sneak peeks! Yes, I am always excited to put up sneak peeks, but for this family, just a little more so. You see, they are EXTREMELY busy! A family with 4 kids aged high school and younger, and they are all super involved in sports and school. So, that makes it nearly impossible to get a date on the schedule that works for everyone. But we found one! About a month ago. And we were only shooting for a few minutes and then the skies opened up and it poured. Not the little rain that if you wait 5 minutes, it will be gone. I am talking POURED! Now, I did check the rain chance before I left, and it said only a 20% chance of rain, so I thought we would be just fine. Wrong! (Thankfully that doesn’t happen often) Then it was back to the drawing board to get another date that would work for everyone. No easy task! I am SO glad that the parents really wanted to do this, and didn’t give up. When we DID get a session date, and everyone was healthy, AND no rain, you can see why I was excited!
I think reasons like this one, are why more families don’t get their photos taken. Sure, when they are little, you only have to schedule around the parents’ schedules. But when they get older, they have their own schedules to take into consideration. It makes it much more difficult to get it done, and I think many families just put it off because of that. But trust me, it is worth it to make it work! I shoot 7 days a week, and I will work with your schedule (and your kids’ schedules) to make it happen. Your kids are growing up so fast! Don’t put it off any longer, just commit to doing it, and call me! I’ll help you make it happen.

There are only a couple open session dates to have your photos taken and be able to get back before Christmas. Let’s make it happen for YOUR family! Email me, message me, or call me to talk about your family photos!
