Yes, it is that time of year again! Time for the annual holiday photo session! The family photos can be in a fancy or busy location, or they can be with just greenery behind you. It is just so important to capture your kids now, because they are growing up so fast!
Here are a couple sneak peeks of some gorgeous kids at a recent session:
BTW, their momma is an amazing hair dresser. So, if you are looking for someone new, just ask me and I’ll give you her info!
There are only a few days left open for sessions to have them back before the holidays. If you haven’t yet booked your family holiday session, you won’t want to wait much longer! Email me email@example.com or call me 407-977-6296 to set up your day and time!
It has been a little while since I had a little guy in front of my camera! I missed it! This session was for a very sweet family for the little guy’s first birthday photos. You could just tell how crazy the parents were about him, and the feeling was definitely mutual. He just lit up when he was looking at his momma and daddy, or his grandma and aunt (who also stopped by to see his shoot!). Lucky little guy, he is!
Here are a few from his session:
Two sunrise beach sessions in one weekend?! Sure why not! It gives me an excuse to take a nap in the middle of the day! 😉 This day was another case of no sun for the sunrise. However, it works out to our advantage when this happens. No bright sun out, means we can shoot on the beach where ever we want and not worry about the harsh sun in our faces. It provides nice soft light for us to shoot in. And on this day, the wind was really blowing, so we had some great waves to play with!
Moriah was a real trooper for her shoot. After having lots of fun shooting around the beach, at the end of the session I always ask if they want to get in the water for “wet shots”. Even though she was cold, bless her heart, she wanted to get in and go for it! If you weren’t there, you would never know that she was cold! You would also never know how many times she got knocked over by the waves ;). Hey, anything for beautiful photos, right?!
Here are a few sneak peeks from her session:
These girls will look familiar if you follow my blog at all. They are 3 of my 2012 senior reps (the other reps will come out and “play” another day)! I missed the girls, and it had been a while since I have photographed them, so I asked them if they would be willing and able to do a shoot. But they have plenty of senior photos already, so I asked if they would let me just take them downtown and “play around” one night. So, these are different from my normal work, and a little more model-y/edgy/whatever-you-want-to-call-it! We had so much fun! We started off on Church Street, and then made our way down some of the streets (which, as you can imagine, they draw attention from people passing by!), then found a rooftop garage (that we very shortly got kicked out of), and ended up in front of Amway. Definitely different shooting at night! But it was a fun change of pace!
Here are a couple of each girl from our night out downtown!

If YOU are a 2012 senior (or a parent of one!), it is not too late to get your senior photos done! I am NOT your yearbook photographer, but I AM the photographer that will get your gorgeous photos that you will have a blast taking, and will love hanging around your house! Talk to any of my reps (or me, of course) about my senior sessions, and to get YOURS scheduled! Also, look up my page on facebook and “like” it, so you can see your friends’ photos that have come to me ~ http://www.facebook.com/jpsearcy
It is assumed that my own boys have a million photos, and that we do shoots all the time. Yeah, not so much! Most of the time, it is just a few minutes for a couple quick photos. But I do try to do a “real” session once a year. Because I know how important these photos are! Last year’s “real” session ended up being a quick 15 minute session scheduled last minute. This year, I put them on the schedule, made them wake up really early for a beach session, and did a real shoot! They are so good to their momma. They humored me and were terrific sports about it. I know it isn’t always what you want to do (wake up at 5am on a Saturday morning, and go pose for photos), but they were great for me. THANKS BOYS! I’ll leave you alone for another year 😉
Here are a few from MY kids session (Will will be 15 next month, and Nick will be 10 shortly after that! They are growing up way too quickly.):
What a beautiful day, and what an amazing senior to photograph! Lisa and I met at Rollins College for her session, where we had some fun shooting all around. She learned quickly that even though she is an amazing athlete, modeling can be tough! Especially my “pretty squats” in high heels! Hahahaha! She was a great trouper and did whatever I asked of her. Wether it be squatting in heels, hanging from bars (actually she was able to do pull ups on them!), or climbing on walls. Oh the fun we have on a shoot!
Here are a few for her sneak peeks!
This was a great session! We had so much fun at Rollins College and then downtown Orlando. Christine was adorable. Great personality and so happy to be having her photos done! Quite a few of her friends are clients of mine, so she knew exactly what she was looking for. “Oh remember the pose that so-and-so did?” Or “where was so-and-so for this location, because I really loved that shot”. And my favorite, “can I lay upside down on some stairs too?!” Of course I am happy to do whatever they want to do! (And you know how much I love upside down photos 😉 ). That being said, we managed to get some poses and spots that were just her as well to make her session HERS!
Here are a couple sneak peeks from each of the locations we went to:
Now that the weather is finally starting to cool off a little *fingers crossed it will stay like this*, it is a fantastic time for YOUR session! I do shoots on weekends or after school, so we can work with whatever fits into your schedule! Just hit me up on facebook (JPSearcy Photography or Jeannette Priest Searcy), or email me at firstname.lastname@example.org to talk about what YOU want for your senior photos!
