a beautiful girl from Lake Mary High! I photographed her older sister not too long ago, that is how she had heard about me. And now, she is excited to be a spokesmodel for me. And I am excited to have her as one of my reps! She is a riot, and a lot of fun to be around!
Here are her sneak peeks!
I am just on a roll proofing my senior spokesmodels today, aren’t I?!
We did the session for my Oviedo High spokesmodel downtown! It is a really fun place to shoot at, however, I am always looking over my shoulder to make sure no one is coming up behind me. And trust me, we definitely got a few looks with this gorgeous model! She handled the attention very well, and was a lot of fun to photograph. She made my job VERY easy!
Here are the first of her proofs:
*And just a little note to the rest of the class of 2009, it ISN’T too early to be thinking about your senior photos! Give me a call, or send me an e-mail to email@example.com, so we can discuss your session and pick a date for it!*
Yes, he is my only guy rep/spokesmodel, and I am very glad to have him! I will tell you, I do shoot mostly girls, so it was a little challenge to shoot a guy. But, he did great, and I hope this will get more of you guys out for senior photos! I know for most of you guys, you will take the studio shots (that you HAVE to get for the yearbook), and then you are done. Well, why not come out and get some more fun shots too?! We did have to postpone his soccer shots, due to lack of a soccer field, or even a net, at the location we were at. LOL! However, I will update with his soccer shots when we get them!
My second rep from Seminole High:
I officially have my 2009 reps/spokesmodels! I am happy to say, I have a few different schools represented. I will be showcasing them all this week, as I have already began their sessions.
My first spokesmodel is from Seminole High. She was beautiful and a lot of fun. Here are the first of many of her photos from the day:
Once I have proofed all of them, make sure you ask her to see them! Hopefully they will be ready before the end of the week!
Oh my goodness, I love newborns! They are perfect baby therapy for me. I get to hold them, smell them, and photograph them, AND still sleep through the night! LOL! Well, this momma was very well prepared for our session! Her good friend is a photographer out of state, and had her very well coached in what to do. She arranged the session BEFORE the baby was born, and called me as soon as she got home from the hospital (has NEVER happened before!). Usually I am not the first thing on new parent’s minds, understandably so! So, we had this little one’s session before he was a week old! Love that!
*Note to those thinking about newborn photos – Do just what she did! Contact me while you are still pregnant, and give me your due date, so I can keep my availability somewhat open for you around that time. And have the session as early as you can stand it! It is best under 2 weeks old, because the baby is still very sleepy, still likes to be swaddled up, newborn acne hasn’t set in, etc. But ideally, it would be in the first week! Then they are REALLY sleepy, like this little one!*
OK, that all being said, he was so perfect for me! He didn’t seem to mind me moving him around, and he went right back to sleep every time! Even with his big brother and daddy playing in the next room! We got all of the shots that I wanted to, and was even able to squeeze in a quick family shot.
Here is your sneak peek!
I don’t know how I get so lucky, but I swear, I have the nicest, sweetest clients out there! This family from this weekend was no different. Of course, they are a beautiful family, but so nice on top of that! The little guy was trying to give me a run for my money, but he didn’t know that I love playing with 2 year olds! And we ended up being pretty good friends! And the little sweetheart, was so tired, but was such a trooper with me (and her little brother! LOL!) bugging her!
What was most important to mom was to get a good family shot. With a baby and a two year old, that is a very big goal! She also has a great eye, and wanted to maybe get a shot that was inspired by their favorite wedding photo. Well guess what mom? We got it!
And if that wasn’t great enough, she also (as ALL of us moms do!) wanted one where the kids were being sweet. Guess what? We got one of those too!
I knew you were worried we didn’t get those shots, so I wanted to give you those as your sneak peeks to rest your mind! I will be in touch and let you know when the rest of them are ready for you! Thanks for a great time!
I have been very busy with some new things, and I want to share with you.
One, I have been working on promoting and expanding on my senior sessions! I am expanding into different schools, and have been selecting my 2009 senior reps/senior spokesmodels. I currently have reps from Lake Mary High School, Oviedo High School, and Seminole High School. I am still looking for Winter Springs High School and Haggerty High School (if you know someone – both girls AND guys! – who goes to that school and would be great at spreading the word and showing off their photos, have them get in touch with me ASAP). If your school isn’t listed, but you are still interested in being a rep, drop me a line! I will be holding my rep sessions here in the next week or two, so check back to see some of those sneak peeks!
Next, I have been working on some new announcements/cards! Like before, I hired a wonderful designer to help me with them, so they are top notch! I still love my current ones, and will still offer them, however, I have a different style cards to offer now. I am excited to get them all up and ready for my clients! There are also now, “anytime” cards. These are great for birthdays, thank yous, save the dates, etc.
And finally, I am working on summer plans! I have scheduled a couple extra days into my vacation in July, and will be taking sessions! I haven’t decided how many I can take yet, so it will definitely be first e-mail, first dibs! Where am I going? Glad you asked! I will be taking sessions in Boston, MA! The sessions will be held on Wednesday July 16th, and they will *probably* be held in the Boston Common area (that central park area there). If you are interested (or know someone in the area who would be interested), shoot me an e-mail as soon as possible, because sessions WILL be limited!
That is all I have for now!
Happy Mother’s Day to all of you wonderful mothers. Yes, I do realize that YESTERDAY was Mother’s Day, however, I took the entire day off! Strange, but true! I had a wonderful, relaxing day with my family, and I loved it! I hope you had your “perfect day” too.
Part of our Mother’s Day tradition is me getting on the other side of the camera. It is very hard for me to do that, as I am most comfortable TAKING the photos. However, I do understand how important it is to be in photos as well. My boys know it is coming every year, and they are really sweet about doing it for me.
Here are my little boys!
*I wore heels, so I would still be a bit taller than him, but he is catching up with me! LOL!*
*And my baby*
So many times, I have trouble getting the moms into the photos with their kids. They are fabulous about getting the kids photos done, but aren’t comfortable getting in there with them. Well, I highly encourage you to seize the moment and get in the photos too! Don’t wait until “my hair is longer”, “I lose 20 pounds”, “the kids are a little older”. Do it now! You won’t regret it!
